Union members win elections across the nation

Across the country, union member candidates won political office, highlighted by the New Jersey State AFL-CIO Labor Candidates Program, which propelled 43 rank-and-file union members to public office. Three of these victorious candidates spoke at the AFL-CIO Convention last month—Mayor Keith Kazmark, Woodland Park, New Jersey; Braxton Winston, Charlotte, North Carolina, City Council; and Teresa Mosqueda, Seattle City Council.
