The Bozeman Daily Chronicle is reporting on Governor Steve Bullock’s proposed budget.
Two things to note:
“The cornerstone of Bullock’s budget is a $292 million infrastructure plan to use cash and bonds and create the Build Montana Trust by directing coal-tax revenues to help pay for building and repairing water and sewer projects and bridges.”
And
“Bullock’s budget incorporates higher pay for state employees under a deal negotiated with unions last week. It calls for a 1 percent pay hike in November 2018 and 1 percent a year later.”
